So, a client casually say’s “I’m thinking of doing a charity walk” I immediately said “well if you’re going to do it you may as well do it properly, why not do the Three peaks challenge!”
I’m no stranger to charity walks and I love them. It’s a great way to raise money and you get to see some great sceanary whilst both training and (hopefully) completing the challenge.
The three peaks has been on my wish list for many years so I’m particularly looking forward to this one.
What is the Three Peaks Challenge?
Based around the three highest peaks in the UK, Ben Nevis (1,344 meters) in Scotland, Scarfell Pike (978 meters) in England and Snowden (1,085 meters) in Wales. The challenge involves scaling all of them within 24 hours. No mean feat.
Due to the size of our group we are choosing to go through a company to organize the logistics of getting between the three peaks and well as guiding us up and down them.
Why are we doing this?
As well as being a great way of keeping fit we also wanted to do this for charity. We have elected to nominate Cancer research as our charity for this challenge as we have all been personally affected, either ourselves or someone close. A worthy charity indeed.
When’s this happening?
Saturday June the 10th 2022.
Fundraising
As a group we are aiming to try and raise £10,000 in total. We have all setup our own Just giving pages to accept donations. You can donate to my JustGiving page by clicking on the link below, I’d really appreciate it:
